Akios just announced on their Facebook page that 4 new Shuttle reels are planned for launch in the coming weeks. Exciting news. The original Akios Shuttle reel was well liked by us, sea anglers and tournament casters alike.
The new additions for 2011/2012 see a narrower CT version, a wide CT version and the first Shuttle reels featuring level winds.

Fishing-Tackle.co.uk introduced the original Fin-Nor Marquesa way back in February 2010. We liked the build and toughness of the smaller reels for UK fishing.
A year and a half later, Fin-Nor have released a 2-speed version, further extending the strengths and capabilities of these palm sized reels. And what’s more – they’ve won an award.

Thanks to those of you who have contributed and asked us when the Okuma Andros 511 will be available in the UK.
Svendsen Sport, the UK distributor have just confirmed that the first Andros reels will come into the UK in May.
As yet it’s not clear which retailers will be stocking the Andros. If you are a retailer that will be stocking the Okuma Andros this year, get in touch and we’ll give you a plug!
As far as I can tell there are only two reasons you won’t buy the new Team Daiwa Z boat rod and Daiwa Saltist LD20H lever drag reel. The first reason is they’re a bit pricey and its true, with a retail price of £225 for the rod and £315 for the reel the money could be better spent on paying almost a whole months gas bill(!).
