It’s not all that often that a new brand of fishing tackle comes along and you can guarantee its success, but we’re pretty sure that’s exactly what we can expect from new carp tackle brand, Avid Carp.
And the reason for our optimism? Dave Preston, the man behind Korum, Sonubaits and Preston Innovations – clearly a tackle genius and a highly successful businessman. A carp angler himself, he has been the driving force behind some of the most innovative tackle developments in the industry.
The first items in the Avid Carp range will start to appear in the shops this Spring. Dave Preston has hinted that there will be some big items including bivvies and the like, as well as a range of accessories with the wow-factor. With the designer’s track record, innovation should be rife throughout the range. We believe the Avid Carp range will be aimed at the modern carper and positioned upper-middle to top end in both quality and appeal. Dave has been working closely with tackle developer Jon Jones and carper Matt Woods – together they threaten to start some truly new tackle trends in 2010. We can’t wait!
The initial range is expected to be announced in the next couple of months and is promised to “set new standards for carp tackle.” The parent company has huge industry clout, marketing power and efficient distribution channels – expect to see this brand in all the right places soon. In the meantime, you can register your interest at the new Avid Carp website.
