Shimano Aero Technium XSB Mgs ReelApart from winning our award for the longest reel name in history, Shimano have won Best New Fixed Spool Reel at the 2011 European Fishing Tackle Trade Exhibition in Amsterdam with their latest incarnation of the Aero Technium 10000 XSB Mgs.

Super 8 Slick sees Power Pro follow a growing trend in 8 strand braid, gaining popularity in many fresh and saltwater disciplines here in the UK. The use of 8 strands (sometimes known as 'carriers') produces a very round and smooth braid.

Daiwa SP-MH Neoprene Reel Cover

Daiwa SP-MH Neoprene Reel CoverThis is a nice product. I picked up the Daiwa SP-MH reel case when I visited The Art of Fishing in St Merryn, Cornwall. It's imported from Japan (no English on the packaging) and the quality shows. It's a sad fact that Daiwa's Japanese range of tackle is better than that available on our home shores but it makes this kind of stuff more alluring I suppose.
